Hi, I’m Claire, the founder of Gluten Free On The Go.
My coeliac journey began around 17 years ago while I was living & travelling around Australia.
I had been unwell for almost two years and had no idea that coeliac disease was the reason I was feeling so poorly.
After a colonoscopy and endoscopy, I was finally diagnosed with coeliac disease. I had never heard of it before and this is where my journey started.
Getting my diagnosis gave me answers, but it also meant completely changing the way I lived.
I had to learn how to read labels, understand ingredients, avoid cross-contamination, eat out safely, travel gluten-free and navigate all the everyday challenges that come with coeliac disease.
Not to mention the mental health effects, health issues and generally feeling like there was no hope.
It wasn't an overnight adjustment. There was a lot to learn, and over the years I've experienced the frustration, worry and uncertainty that can come with trying to live safely and confidently gluten-free.
I've also learned so much, that's why I created Gluten Free On The Go.
I wanted to create the practical educational support I wish I'd had when I was first diagnosed.
Straightforward information, helpful resources and products that make gluten-free life a little easier.
From my gluten-free cookbooks and travel resources to checklists, school guides and everyday tips, everything I create is inspired by my own experiences and the things I've learned along the way.
I'm not here to make gluten-free life complicated. I'm here to help make it feel more manageable, I've been where you are and its overwhelming.
If I can make someone else's gluten-free journey a little easier, then Gluten Free On The Go has achieved exactly what I created it for. 💚
